I had the privilege of speaking at The Neuromuscular Centre's Symposium on Wednesday 9th March at Crewe Alex Football Club in Cheshire.
Attended by professionals and families, speakers highlighted how having a disability such as muscular dystrophy need not restrict you whether that be in your leisure time, in education or in employment. Yes, life takes a whole lot more planning but with a positive attitude, the right support and equipment it can be done! A Clinical Specialist talked about positive health and wellbeing and we were given tips on living with muscular dystrophy. The finale, The NMC Production was very moving. Enabling opportunity for all. A fantastic day. Thank you NMC for inviting me to speak. Audience Feedback - ...Inspirational... ...Really enjoyed your presentation - inspiring.. ...Your speech was amazing - not a dry eye in the house ... . Andrea Duckworth, Enabling Ability
